Miss New York 2007 – Elisabeth Baldanza

Miss New York 2007, Elisabeth Baldanza, was crowned on July 14, 2006 at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY. The 23-year-old Mercyhurst College student was selected over 21 other aspiring beauties who represented various regions of New York State at the pageant for a chance to compete for the Miss America crown.

Elisabeth danced to a song from the musical "Ragtime" for the talent portion of the show, and wore a black-and-silver gown when she was crowned. She was presented with a mink coat, a diamond necklace and other prizes. Baldanza is from upstate Oneonta,

"I'm kind of in shock right now," she said at the Dix Hills Center for the Performing Arts on Long Island. "It won't be until tomorrow that I realize I won."
