Monday - February 4, 2008 - Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund visited the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) as the official Goodwill Ambassador for the Children's Miracle Network. Each patient that Kirsten met with touched her heart as she heard their stories of hope, courage and strength. Kirsten offered her wonderful smile and good wishes to all the children and said, "My very first visit to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia was everything I thought it would be and so much more. These children have inspired me with their joy and their spirit and that's an incredible gift. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings."
It has only been one week since Kirsten was crowned in Las Vegas, and she is off to a beautiful start making national television appearances, and her first corporate appearance as Miss America at the Philadelphia Auto Show.
Kirsten's next stop is the National Miss America Office and then it's off to Los Angeles where she will participate in IHOP's National Pancake Day, a fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network.
